In my part of the country and in many other parts of the country, bitter cold, sleet, ice and snow are coming in. Now, in Jackson, Ms., we’re not used to are prepared for this kind of intense cold. Please, cover your outside faucets so the cold air can’t get in. Leave a hot and cold faucet tripping on each side of the home. At night, leave cabinet doors open where pipes are so that the warm air in the house can get to the pipes. In the attic, wrap any exposed water pipes with relatively inexpensive pipe wrap available at any hardware store or the big box stores. Make sure that your exterior door weather stripping is secure. Please, call me with any questions at 601-942-2683. Stay safe!
